A car transmission serves as the gearbox of a vehicle. It is comparable to the gear shifter and chain system commonly seen in bicycles. These components are directly attached to the engine, enabling the connected belt and gear system to effectively convert the engine's combustion power into physical momentum, propelling the vehicle forward. Transmissions are essential components in motor vehicles to protect the engine from self-destruction. In the absence of a gearbox system, car engines would rotate at excessive speeds, resulting in structural instability and potential damage. Additionally, a car without a transmission would be unable to utilize the engine's speed effectively, limiting its maximum velocity.
